1. Build Backlinks For Long Term Traffic
If you aren’t building links to your website, then you are just making things more difficult for yourself.
Google ranks sites on their popularity, so place your website link on other popular high page rank sites, that way the more links you build the more popular you site is, in Google’s eyes anyway.
Place an anchor link containing your main keyword phrase on other sites, vary it too, that’s very important.
Take a strategic approach to it and build links slowly, not 10,000 in a week because that’s a sure way to get your website sandboxed by the search engines.
2. Add Fresh, Regular Unique Content So Google Loves You
This is absolutely essential. In fact, this is my favourite Website Traffic Generation technique.
If you add brand new content to your site at least 3 times a week over a long term period, then you WILL benefit from what I call prolonged traffic surges.
Google wants to remain the best search engine in the world, to be the best; they make sure that when a visitor searches a keyword phrase, that they put the most relevant brand new content first.
If you leave your content untouched on your website and your competitors have produced new content, watch them overtake you in the rankings.
Give Google what it craves, which is brand new content. Not only will you keep the crawler visiting your website, but Google will start to recognise that your site is being constantly updated, meaning, a better ranking and more profits too.

I make regular profits to my websites by utilizing Article Marketing. It doesn’t have to be hard. If you aim for 1 article a day every day, that’s 30 a month. But its not just about numbers though.
To put your articles on steroids’, try and optimize them as much as possible. The reason many people fail with article marketing is that they submit the article, and that’s it. It then serves you nothing more than a backlink from the article directory, rather than a traffic source.
Once you have written your article, add backlinks to your article by implementing a social bookmarking campaign. The more backlinks you have to your article, the better chance you have of being top of your category and inturn the more likely you will make more money.
